What You Will Do:

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to tax staff

  • Manage and develop staff by assisting in recruiting, evaluating performance, training, and career coaching

  • Serve as a resource for tax preparers, specialists, and auditing/accounting staff to help assist with any questions

  • Assume full responsibility for large returns and assignments by conducting reviews and approvals

  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained for both our firm and clients.

  • Plan and manage tax project workflows to achieve an accurate and efficient final product.

  • Participate in meetings with clients and help them with their planning efforts. 

  • Assist clients with various documents from standard returns to governmental examinations. 

  • Represent clients before the appropriate taxing authorities.

  • Supervise and mentor junior staff – manage approximately 3 direct reports
     

What You Need To Be Successful:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (or related field) required – Master’s Degree is a plus

  • Valid license as a Florida Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or professional equivalent

  • 6+ years of recent experience in public accounting 

  • Member in good standing with the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and Florida Institute of CPAs (FICPA)

  • Expertise with US GAAP Proficiency 

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships

  • Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills 

  • Skilled with computer tax preparation, research, and planning software programs

  • 40+ hours of continuing professional education annually

Compensation:

  • $100,000 - $135,000

  • Final offer of compensation to successful candidates will depend on qualifications and experience
